I got a GTS250 superclocked 1 GB,with a overclocked E7400 @ 3.6 with 4 GB of RAM,running win vista 32 and win7 64.I got a 550 watt PSU,and a 7200 RPM HDD,on a 19inch-1400 x 900 resolution.I downloaded PCSX2 9.4,9.6 and the new beta with all the new plugins.I Had the settings on default,and i re-arranged the settings a crap load of times.I downloaded DVD decrypter,followed the steps,made my ISO and nothing works.I made MK armaggeddon,it works in the menus perfectly and as soon as 3d renders pop up like the characters,it drops to 20FPS.God of war drops to 20 fps in the main menu.MGS2 doesnt even start.Tekken 5 gives me like 25 FPS using them experimental VU stealing ,with out it it doesnt even work.Now I know these games are tough to play and one cant expect perfect emulation,but Ive seen poeple with crapier setups running these games at 95%.I set up GSDX to native,ive tried D3D at 1024 x 768,ive tried windowed,ive tried every possible combination.So what am I doing wrong?Gimme some light guys thanx.
From the game you stated is not very compatible with PCSX2 emulation such as GOD2 and MGS. So, even you have how great your PC is there will have decent FPS drop.
So its not my system?How come on youtube these poeple play these games no problem?What are good settings?

umm god of war should run pretty much perfect at full speed with occasional kratos flickering.
My specs are E6750 @ 3.6 GHZ, Geforce 8800 GTS and GoW and Tekken 5 run perfect.
Tekken 5 - I just use defaults.
GoW - 1.5xEE hack, and moderate vu cycle stealing does the trick!
the metal gear solids are tough, but god of war should run fine with some speed hacking. could you post your complete configuration? also, youtube vids are often sped up to full fps
You obviously have a problem with your PC settings or something like that.
Since Misfire is able to play those games, so should you. After all, your CPU and GPU (the latter which is basically same as the 8800GTS 512, shrunk down twice) are better than his.

Probably bad overclocking, because I got nice speed in my games, mostly of the games I've played are perfectly 60fps. Sometimes even more than that (with speed hacks xD).
My games:
God of War (45-60fps)
Kingdome Hearts 2 and Final Mix (50-60 fps)
Fatal Frame (Perfect 60fps everywhere, everytime xD)
Osbcure2 (52-60 fps) Now It's not compatible with Pcsx2
FFX and X2 (60fps)
FF 12 (40-60 fps)
and so on xD.
My advice is that reduce your overclocking and give it a try
