Full Version: Problem with Xenosaga III (extremely slow)

I'm trying to play Xenosaga III but I got extremely low framerates (about 35 fps), while I ran other games very well with 55-60 fps. My specs are Intel Core 2 Duo @3.2 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4670, & 4 GB of RAM.

I learned that DirectX 10 boosts this game's performance a lot. But the problem is DirectX is only available for Windows Vista, while I run the game in Windows XP. I tried to install the hacked version of DirectX 10 for Windows XP, but it doesn't make any difference at all.

So, is there any other way to play this game fairly fast in Windows XP?
sadly no, there is no way to use Dx10 on XP. If you don't want to pay for vista, or don't have the money to, the best option you have is to use Win7 RC1, it includes Dx10 and is free.
Blame the Xenosaga games, they really need one hell of a machine
The xenosaga extreme slowness thing got fixed about a month ago.
If you get 35fps, you're already using a fixed version.
Still: Get the latest pcsx2 and GSdx betas, enable some speedhacks, and try again.
That's too bad.. Well i might consider getting Vista in the future, but for now i'm still comfortable with XP.
