I think it depends on your chipset drivers also. On my C2Quad, PCSX2 (and any other multithreaded app) spreads out fairly evenly across all four cores.
But I don't understand. If what you (Air) said is true then does that mean that there is no point in say adjusting pcsx so that It can run on four cores? That there would be no speed increase?
For me, there is not. I get better overall performance by leaving PCSX2's thread affinity set to all cores.

There can be some performance issues by locking PCSX2 to the first two or three cores. There were some bugs in PCSX2 for some months that caused it to do this, and people reported slowdowns... most likely because it placed undue strain on Core 0. But there's no advantage to forcing PCSX2 to not use Core0. The OS will regulate that mess itself just fine, barring cpu thread affinity bugs like what PCSX2 had for some months. Wink

The best advantage of distribution across cores is heat reduction. Your CPU runs much cooler with load distributed across 4 cores rather than centralized on two.
