i did tryed it and its not yet compatiple with pcsx2 this "High Definition Mode" mean a higher res game to be enabled for ps3 to make the game be much better on it.

So, this mode just available on ps2 console, and some kinds of LCD with High Definition???
Because I have just tried it on CRT, and nothing happened as well !!!
