#1
Hi
I dont know if this info is useful to anyone. If not just delete the thread Tongue

Hardware
CPU AMD A8 3870k 4x3Ghz
GPU Integrated AMD Radeon 6650D
RAM 2x4 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz

Not overclocked for now (need to buy proper cooling).

All games are NTSC. PCSX2 1.0.0 r5350 (gsdx sse2)

Virtua Fighter 4 Evo

Settings:
]EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode:None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 1 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 54-58 FPS

Comments:
This game doesn't like messing with EE cyclerate. VU Cycle Stealing on 1 is ok anything more breaks the game.
FPS wise is not full speed but playable. Stage with rain has lower FPS 50-53 (only that one)

Tekken 5

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 2 VU Cycle Stealing: 0 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: Custom 1020x1020 Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 56-60

Comments:
This game hates VU stealing. Needs custom res (on x2 native black lines appear). FPS depends on stages. On most of them 56-60 fps. Exceptions are city stage (that one with sun), the burning temple stage and city at night (with neons) FPS: 45-50

Sly 3

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 2 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Gameplay 53-60 FPS

Comments:
Ocassional slowdowns to 53 fps.

Sly 2

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
VUs VU0: microVU Recompiler VU1: superVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 3 VU Cycle Stealing: 3 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Gameplay 55-60 FPS (from observation meter shows constant 60 FPS but its not true Tongue)

Comments:
VU stealing 3 causes graphical glitches (weird crt like artifacts from time to time) but its the only way to get playable fps. VU1 is set to superVu witch is a little slower than microVU but microVU doesnt show characters properly (almost all the time they are black) and in conversations microVU desont show character faces.

Sly 1

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 2 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
Constant 60 FPS no slowdowns no glitches.

Shadow of the Colosus

Settings:

GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On Enable HW Hacks: On Aggressive-CRC: On

Results:
Movies 56-60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 56-60 FPS

Comments:
If Aggressive-CRC is off then bloom effect just burn your eyes Tongue FPS wise occasional slowdowns to 55-56 fps.

Okami

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 0 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On Allow 8-bit textures: On

Results:
Movies 50-60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
On software mode the game looks like original but fps hit is to much on that machine. Hardware mode gives constant 60 fps. Occasional slowdown in movies especialy when the camera zoom at something.

Kingdom Hearts

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal

GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On Enable HW Hack: On Alpha: On

Results:
Movies 53-60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 54-60 FPS (observation again FPS meter on VU cycle stealing 3 lies Tongue )

Comments:
Ocassional slowdowns. Alpha on HW hacks must be on or shadows will glitch (skipdraw 1 also resolves the issue but i preffer alpha).
Jack and daxter have no eyes

Jack & Daxter 2

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 3 VU Cycle Stealing: 1 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: native Texture Filtering: On Enable HW Hack: On Alpha: On

Results:
Movies 54-60 FPS Menus 60FPS Gameplay 54-60 FPS

Comments:
Well you have a choice here. Either you set native resolution and get almost constant 60 fps (sometimes slows down to 54-55)
Or you set x2 native and get 55-60 fps with slow downs to 40-50 fps (that occure more often)
Alpha needs to be on or the shadows will glitch. Jack hair looks little messy. Jack and daxter have no eyes.

Jack & Daxter 1

Settings:

VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None

GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On Enable HW Hack: On Alpha: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
Again Alpha needs to be on or skipdraw needs to be set to 1. And guess what ? Jack and daxter have no eyes Tongue

Ico

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 0 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On Enable HW Hack: On Alpha: On Aggressive-CRC: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
I need to get further in the game to test it better. I assume that in some parts it can slow down. Then i will play with EE/VU cycle stealin. It's just to good to be true Tongue

God of War

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None

GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On HW Hack: On Aggressive-CRC: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
Works like a charm.

Dragon Quest VIII

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: None
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 0 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: native Texture Filtering: On Allow 8-bit Textures: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
This game is very gpu heavy and integrated Radeon 6650D is not enough for x2 native (game slows down to 43 FPS sometimes). Maybe oveclocking will be enough time will tell...

Devil may cry 3 Special Edition

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Nearest Clamping mode: Normal
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal

Did you see Excalibur reviews of this series ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2k95ts2TYs&feature=plcp

Dark Cloud 2

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal

GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: custom 800x700 Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Movies 60 FPS Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Comments:
Another GPU heavy game. Custom res 800x700 is the best it can be without slow downs.

Rachet and Clank 1,2,3

Sadly theese games dont work to well with PCSX2. On hardware mode the graphics glitches. On software looks normal. FPS both in hardware and software are like 30-45. Unpleyable to me. Movies have constant 60 fps Tongue

Adventures of Cookie & Cream

Settings:
EE/IOP Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal
VUs microVU Recompiler Round mode: Chop/Zero Clamping mode: Normal
Speedhacks EE Cyclerate: 1 VU Cycle Stealing: 0 INTC: On Wait Loop Detection: On mVu Flag hack: On MTVU: On
GSDX Direcx 11 Hardware Interlancing: Auto Resolution: x2 native Texture Filtering: On

Results:
Menus 60 FPS Gameplay 60 FPS

Well i expected worse performance on this rig to be honest. Better be pleasantly suprised then have to high expectations and be disappointed i guess.

Thank you for this great peace of software. You really did great job. Keep up the good work and i expect playing Rachet and Clank series on PCSX2 2.0.0 soon Tongue

Out of curiosity. Is linux version works so well too ?
