The ONLY thing it might bring benefit to IMO is decoding MPEG2 cutscenes(MPEG and similar video is divided into macroblocks and each one can be processed in parallel). But any computer that can play most PS2 games at fullspeed can decode the videos just fine on the CPU. So I agree with the above, not much use.
