Tried Zero SPU, the movie has its original audio now! but the static sound remains prominent throughout movies, and gameplay now!
edit- audio is now a lot slower, even if it is not in synch.

Did you activate Dolby Digital in the audio options? (in-game)
Dolby Digital is not working with SPU2-X and only partially with ZeroSPU2.
Just turn it off and use SPU2-X again. At least it it would explain why there is no audio during Cutscenes as DD is only used there and not ingame.

unfortunately it wasn't ticked, and there's still a static/cracking sound in movies :/

Are you booting full or fast? Try whichever one you aren't doing.
