I'm having trouble emulating Xenosaga 3 properly
#1
I tried using the wiki as reference, but I'm seeing all sorts of rendering issues here and there.
If I use openGL, the cutscenes look distorted (doubled up)
If I use dx9 everything is mostly okay, but there are still a few weird glitches.
I have an i7-4770k, gtx 780, Windows 10, 16 gb of ram, and I'm using pcsx2 v1.5.0-dev-2059-gb9e62be, which I got from orphis. I'm also emulating from an iso.
I uploaded some photos here. http://imgur.com/a/EQJxe

I know this answer isn't helpful, but Xeno 3 has always been problematic. Through various builds, I've encountered screen flicker, weird lighting effects, black backgrounds in cutscenes, floor glitches, lag caused by the renderer, messed up text, etc. Wacko

The faster you accept that Xeno 3 will never really be perfect, the less stressful experience you'll have.

If you're doing a Let's Play on Youtube, then it's a different story, but I doubt you're doing an LP. So don't be a per-pixel perfectionist. As long as the game is playable, you'll get by.

Is there anyway to see if any PCSX2 developers would be interested in fixing this game if I do the testing for them?

How do I implement the patches mentioned here?

There's not much point in getting the PCSX2 devs involved. They know of stuff like this and they probably can't fix it, or they would've already. There's a good chance it will be fixed in the future. If it bothers you THAT much, you can file a Github issue:

The patches in that video description are simply the widescreen hack stuff, so they're irrelevant.
