All it does is make a quick animation of the Playstation logo jumping to the upper left corner, and goes black, then it crashes.

Ah well. Thanks for all your help though. :/

the only other thing i can suggest is unticking all the options in gsdx (apart from logarithmic z) and ticking "Native Resolution" just to iliminate any bugs in gsdx causing it, however it sounds like the game is sending bad information to the graphics plugin.

Also you could try disabling "MTGS" under Config->CPU

I just tested it right now from the disc. I can confirm that it is not a corrupted iso, because I am also getting a black screen (no crashing though). Latest beta and GSDX 1425 and everything. Just tried disabling MTGS, too. Tried some advanced options...no luck. Tried with and without speedhacks...still no luck. Tried making an iso...you guessed it, still a black screen. MicroVU...same result.
To summarize, this game will not load. CPU usage is 2-3%, which means that the emulator is not really doing anything other than rendering black screens at 300+ fps.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, there is no sound...
Nappa: Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?
Vegeta: It's...one thousand and six.
Nappa: Wh-...really?
Vegeta: Yeah! Beat him up Nappa!
Nappa: Yay!

Yeah. For some reason, non of the US Armored Core titles are playable, except Armored Core 2. I guess it's either import the Japan version...or...wait patiently. (Luckily I have Armored Core For Answer on the PS3 so I'm good.)
EDIT: Forgot the other option...play on the PS2. Tongue

@Poal:
You can always buy Armored Core 2 and play that. PS2 games are dirt cheap nowadays.Tongue
