So for an elf hack, the startup routine should be checked. Somewhere there it must be doing an unsafe CDVD or SIF operation.

If we did a hack in the emulator, then we'd need to modify 2 separate core functions and move them to very wrong values.
It'd be much nicer to find the iop module that fails to boot and find the problem there.
We could find a proper fix for the problem then.
