[Mana Khemia2]Occasional sound tearing, weird lines on characters

Try with the sync mode: async. Quite nice when you don't have enough juice to keep a constant framerate.

I think I have enough juice though. The sound problem doesn't seem to come from anything associated to framerate,as far as I can tell.

Try changing the interpolation modes...higher number means newer mode which increase the chance of problems.
Try with mode 1 first

I would still give async a try, it's super cool.

Yes,the sound is running always at full(normal)speed,so even if the speed goes to 55 or 50 for a second or two,the sound will still play normally.

PS.Not every game work well with that option but all NIS/Gust games(at least those that I have)work fine with it.

K i'm back, sorry had to take care of some work.

Tried setting both async and changing interpolation modes..still the same.(minor sound tear in some scenes, and very obvious when saving games)

I'm beginning to think if this is actually the issue in original PS2 games ? Anyone experiencing sound tear/stutter when they're saving ?

Btw I notice that the mouse cursor is hidden after I started the game and quit(but still in PCSX2 program) anyway to fix this ?

If the problem comes up when saving, it is most likely an IOP component overload (DMA or SIF or smth).
Try and see if the EE timing gamefix or the EE cycle speedhack changes it.

Edit : Never mind,found it.

Tried out your suggestion..but it seems the problem still persists...

Also what about the disappearing mouse cursor ?

Edit 2 : after I tried reinstalling pcsx2, this time a bunch of new messages popped up and some of them seems to inform something about sound..can you take a look ?

Those messages are normal and you get them because you have enabled(or was already enabled by default)an option in the console source menu.

For the saving part(at least on real PS2),this happens when you use bigger(mb) memory cards(on those NIS\Gust games)than 8mb(bigger cards that 8mb are slower ).

Ah ok,thanks for clarifying what those messages are, I was afraid it could be something bad.

On the memory card,I checked on mine inside memcard folders and there are two, both size are 8.25 MB..it might be normal for the issue ?

By the way, about the mouse cursor disappearing after closing game with esc button, is there any fix for this ? I checked and made sure that I didn't enable the "always hide mouse cursor" in menu..it was a minor annoyance like the sound issue but would be great if there's a way to fix it.
