But here though, is what the log states:

I've tried this in both the beta and the stable release. Using both gsdx 1.5 and gsdx9 (latest release)
just to be sure, gsdx 1.5? or do you mean 0.1.5? and do you mean by gsdx9 the current gsdx9+10 plugin in dx9 mode? could you please post a screenshot of your pcsx2 plugin config?

just as i thought, you have got rather old versions of gsdx. please delete all plugins with gsdx in their name and use the latest beta from the official thread here. and yes, you're stuck with the sse2 variant, as both the ssse3 and sse4.1 instructions sets are intel cpu only.
I've spotted this error quite a number of times recently, and as far as I know no solution was found but to use an older version/revision.
Be sure that you have all the applications installed which is listed under the link Zero posted (http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-3031.html), and if the error still comes up I recommend you to post about it directly in the GSdx thread (same link), as then you'ld surely get direct support from Gabest, the author.
hi just want to report that after updating directx using the microsoft link, i've managed to run pcsx2 flawlessly in vista.
And I have to tell you that Rogue Galaxy went from not really playable (30-35 fps) to playable (50-55 fps).
I'm sure other games have some improvement too using DirectX 10.
Too bad i don't have a screenshot... btw, how do you take a screenshot in gsdx?
