Weird....
I got some what the same problem!!
The solution for me was to delete the INI file of the Lilypad plugin located inside [inis-->LilyPad.ini] folder....but
But you said you re-installed PCSX2 so im not sure this will work
My rig: Malibal P150HM - Core i7-2760QM upto 3.5GHz - 8GB DDR3 @1600MHz - ATI 6990M 2GB GDDR5 - 500GB@7200RPM

You can try disabling LilyPad's manage volume control setting (Available under Vista only). Not sure why it would cause an issue, unless you turned the volume all the way down once manually and haven't tried turning it back up while Pcsx2 has the focus.

Really really sorry for bumping this but I really need help on this =/
I tried EVERY sound plugin I could find and none of them works.
If anyone has any idea on what I could do next, I'd reaally appreciate it.
