the framelimit really does more then limit the frame it is also keeping the Sound/Video in sync which is why When it fps above 60 it is fast video/sound and when it below 60 its it slow video/sound which takes more power to do this then with out .think of it sorta like vsync but it dont stop tearing it just keep everything in sync and with limiter off nothing is in sync so less power is required atlest this is how i understand it

@op-if you turn on frame limit the game play horribly fast or slow? Did you use the speedhacks in game? Try with defult settings.

But is the instability the same only the amplitude lower?
It sounds odd that a shared cpu-affinity increases the max-FPS above the limit.
Btw pcsx2 is multithreaded. Might be good to set the affinity to two cores and block all other programs from these cores.

I try to do this, but then, the problem came back.

This sounds as a funny bug for coders... Is the timing of threads broken?
