I recently installed PCSX2 on my MacBook Pro, which is a bit old though. I ran the game Dragon Quest 8, and encountered the problem:At first, it runs smoothly, but after opening logo and animation, the speed drops greatly, making it nearly impossible to play. So, how can I change the config to improve the quality?
My computer specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz
3GB DDR2 SDRAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 128MB
OS is Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
And the game I use is European Verison

with 128mb video card i think you're out of luck to run pretty much any game smoothly

and even then the pcsx2 mac compatibility list is very low.
Be much cheaper to buy an old ps2 compared to the upgrade.
