[Solved] Gran Turismo 4 (PAL) - Blurry Image

Hi guys,

I have some issues with the graphics in GT4. The game looks too washed out...

I am using the Nightly version (at this moment: 1.7.3341) and I try for a couple days to solve this problem. The most settings I could find are for NTSC only and it looks like those cannot be used for the european version. I beleave it has something to do with the interlace.

Lately I found here a thread for no interlacing patches, so I downloaded the version (6th Oct 2021) from Silent(?) and pasted it in cheats_ni-folder:

In menus the 3D models look relativly sharp (a bit too soft at the edges) but in races everything is blurry, especially in the distance. This effect is also present without the patch. In the license test I noticed that the screen changes while loading.

This is what its look like while playing. I have a 1440p monitor and had to crop the screenshot due to the file size.

PAL doesn't have a progressive mode Sad You will need to get a no-interlacing patch, which may come with it, but of course you will need to enable them.

I am new in PCSX2. Maybe this patch worked prior 1.7 or did I missed some settings for this? I only enabled cheats and "no interlacing patches" after downloading pnach

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
