Meanwhile with almost half of laptop's price I'm thinking of buy a desktop, here's the specs:

Intel Core I7-4790K 4.0-4.4GHz
16GB 1600MHz
SLI GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 256Bits
HD 1000GB Sata III + SSD 120GB Sata III
Wise choice Wink

But make sure to disable the SLI for PCSX2!

that will be better since you'll benefit from the MTVU hack.

PCSX2 don't recognizes SLI?

Which bugs can happen?

Is a single GTX 760 strong enough to max res, AA, and settings?

Yeah, a single 760 is plenty for pcsx2.

If you do use SLI, it can cause some major slowdowns.

I just tried PCSX2 on my Chromebook Pixel with Ubuntu 12.04 installed using crouton. It has a Intel Core i5-3427U CPU @ 1.80GHz and 4Gb of RAM. GT4 is more or less smooth in the menus but the gameplay gets only around 20fps, so it is not quite playable. I guess that one of the issues is the use of Linux whose graphics drivers are not very performance optimized. I'm planning to buy a desktop with a Core i5 3330 but I won't use any discrete graphics. Will this be playable under Linux?

The problem with the chromebook is the ultrabook processor(denoted by U after the model number), they just can't handle PCSX2. The 3330 should do okay for most games, but I don't know about GT4.
