Read first: Will PCSX2 run fast on my computer?
I'm trying to go as cheap as I can with as much power as possible, if that makes any sense.

If PCSX2 is a concern, and you are going with a Pentium, what Nobbs and I said (G3258) is the only viable option.

It overclocks like hell which makes it great for emulation

After weeks of handling this PC in terms of pricing, I've found what I think is the best build for emulation with upgrades in the near future.

It looks alright except that power supply is a bit weak, especially if you are gonna OC that Pentium(and you will need to for PCSX2/Dolphin)

Anyway, at this point if you want to talk about it more, please make a separate thread.

Oh right you need the Z97 for OC powers.

Will I be able to run PCSX2 relatively smoothly with these specs? By relatively smoothly I mean 30fps at the very least.

Processor: i7-4700MQ @ 2.4Ghz ("boosts" up to 3.4Ghz)
RAM: 1600Mhz 8GB (2 x 4GB)
GPU: Dual GTX 765M in SLI
OS: Windows 7
I'll most likely use my 7200 rpm 750GB HDD but if it will help to reach my desired 30fps I'll use my tiny SSD.

Games I'd like to play are: Dragon Quest VIII, Wild Arms 3-5, KH ReCoM, Gran Turismo 4, I think those would be the most demanding ones I'll play.

30 FPs should be reachable for those games with this CPU
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
