what's your configuration? maybe your 8800GTS and +0.4GHz(x2) helps a lot than my 8600GT? i don't know.
@rama thx!

Nothing exceptionnal I use my own pal bios, pal iso, pcsx2 beta 1059, GSDX 0.1.7 SSSE3 in Hardware DX10 native resolution and everything other unchecked, SPU2-X 1.1.0 for sound, default Advanced Options, no speedhacks and of course Tri-Ace game fixes.
I checked tonight and don't get below 48fps. Don't get too far though because of this annoying displaying bug.

If I recall correctly the tri ace game fix is only required to boot the game. So after you boot it you could escape to menu and disable it,since from what rama told me having the fix on gets you a speed hit

It's not that big a speed hit tho, I used to turn it off when playing this game (and well try to load a savestate as soon as possible on boot ) but it's only a 3-6% performance hit for me so if I forgot to turn it off I couldnt notice it normally really.

Is it possible to run this game on Linux? So far I get only black screen and segfaults on pcsx2 0.9.6. when i try to run this game. Where can I turn on this fix for Tri-Ace games?
The last 3 options that did not get in screenshot are:

I use Kubuntu amd64 Jaunty.
Note : QtCurve - is just a style used to display GTK aps in KDE, since it is not a native way for this app, I presume that is why error occurs.
I did install all dependencies I could find (yes, I did install glew as 32 bit library). I did not find a package named opengl and GTK - but since I can run GTK aps without problems and play 3d games - they must have been installed already)

To run it for linux you need more modern release, that 0.9.6. Segfault was fixed around 1200+, and TriAce Fix is not in ZeroGS, but it Gamefix menu.
p.S. And with ZeroGS you would not be see anything -- use ZZogl.

Ok, I tried it, and here's what I've got:
Since I am using amd64 Kubuntu, I needed to install 32 bit chroot environment. After I installed it, I followed compilation procedure and after some try and error - managed to compile it. I tried to run it from there and it didn't run even bios. The first thing I thought - it probably lacks nvidia GPU drivers.
I decided instead of downloading and installing drivers, why not just copy the whole thing to 64 bit host, that already have it all? Well, I did and bios did run, meaning that 3d graphics are rendered correctly (since bios uses 3d models).
However, when I try to launch Silmeria - I only get sound and no video. It looks the game is working, since I can hear clicking in menu. I did turn on Tri-Ace fix in the Game Fixes menu.
Here is my ZZogl config: basically everything is disabled and lowest resolution is set (just like on screenshot in my first post above).
Should I install driver for 32bit host and try from there or should I use 64 bit (since it rendered bios geometry correctly)? And what options should I try on ZZogl?

Nah, it could be my favorite Z-bias bug. Try to press F6 several times. Maybe you could see the picture. Also press triangle or circle -- maybe it's stupid bug and first screen (wide screen selection menu) does not shown.
