Alter Code F is playable.
Use default values for all configurations and try again.

Wild arms 4 has the over bright problem in hardware mode.
I don't know why you can't start Altercode F. The game starts without problems although you will see missing geometry in game everywhere, but it has been fixed in unofficial svn.

I finished Wild arms 4 a long time ago and got all 60 fps.
Missing geometry was fixed in svn with new vif.

Wild arms 3 & 4 i played on rev. 2186 without any problem. Unfortunatelly i can`t test WA4 on r1888 for now
With your PC specs you might have a better fps. Try r2186.
