Is there any solution to stop my ps3 from turning on automatically when I unplug my DS3 from the USB port in my computer when I have SCP-DS3-Driver-Package-0.8.0.100?

There's a program by Dancing Pixel Studios, called SixPair tool. I believe it is targeted toward the iOS community, but using it with a connected DS3 via USB, you can change the MAC address the controller is currently paired too. Find the MAC address of your Bluetooth device on your PC, and replace it with the current MAC address using SixPair Tool.

I have issues getting my controller to pair sometimes as well. Not sure why. Sometimes it pairs correctly, other times it doesn't. Keep in mind that if you change the device that's paired, once connected to a PS3 again, the console automatically changes the MAC address back to the ps3.

But i'm not using a bluetooth device it's connected just with a USB Cable

Well you can still use SixPair to make up a fake MAC address. I think that's why the ps3 is still trying to connect for you. Since you don't have Bluetooth, or didn't install the Bluetooth driver, the wrapper doesn't have a MAC address to write to the DS3. If your not planning on connecting the controller to your ps3 anytime soon, use SixPair and pair it with some false MAC address (you can try 00:00:00:00:00:00)

The reason why the controller turns on your ps3 is because its designed to automatically search for and connect to the console if the user disconnects via USB, enabling a quick and easy way to reconnect. I don't think it's anything scarlet can do specifically. It's the design of the controller itself. If you had Bluetooth on your PC and had it paired, the controller would automatically search for and reconnect via Bluetooth once disconnected via USB as well. But since you don't have a Bluetooth adapter, the wrapper was never set to a new MAC address upon install, making it still paired to the ps3, hence why it powers on even after unplugging from your PC via USB. Hope this helps.

Ah, I see. I know with motionjoy there was an option in the program to completely disconnect the controller and it seem'd to turn off the LEDs on the controller which allowed me to unplug it without it trying to turn on my PS3. I don't know if it's possible to do something like that with this.

Having an issue. I have two PS3 controllers, One is half dead so the second is the replacement. However the driver constantly assigns the controller to pad 2 instead of pad one, Causing issues with Dolphin.. I'm use i can manually select a different controller, But it got me thinking.

In a situation like mine, how do you unregister your old controller to register a new one? Or cant you?

Iv'e been doing some investigation in to how to disconnect from USB without starting up a Paired PS3. I found a solution which behaves consistantly - coding it into the server may take a while.

In the meantime, workaround is as follows :-

1. Stop the Service ("SCP DS3 Service").
2. In Device Manager - disable the "USB DS3 Device".
3. In Device Manager - enable the "USB DS3 Device".
4. Disconnect the DS3 from USB.
5. Start the Service ("SCP DS3 Service").

@hellbringer616: Pad ID's are assigned when the Service starts, connected USB pads first in the order they are enumerated by Windows, then BTH/USB in the order they are connected. The assignment stays active until the Service is restarted.

In order to set a specific order, disconnect all pads from USB, restart the Service, then connect your pads in the order you want them assigned.

I have applied the update according to the post you are refering to, however my ds3 will not connect to the bluetooth, usb works flawlessly however.
