Having trouble with 360 controller, PLugged in found drivers downloaded them. but my controller just keeps flashing as if it is searching for an xbox. when i go to devices it is their as xbox 360 play and charge. but is not being recognized by the emulator for some reason! HELP

They have never been advertised as such.
There are thousands of fools asking why this doesn't work and getting told as such across the internet.

The crappy Play & Charge cable only connect to the battery to provide power, nothing more. You need a Wireless Receiver (around $30) to receive the so-called "Microshit 2.4 Ghz technology" signal.

Have you checked the Xinput(Xbox 360 controller) in lilypad.
