its still running at around 47 fps so its doing a bit better but not much

Are you sure Pcsx2 uses your nvidia gpu ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

i think so i set it to adapter nvidia geforce 710m although for some reason it appears twice, when i click adapter it gives me
default hardware
referance device
nvidia geoforce 710
nvidia geoforce 710
and microsoft basic renderer

i also went into control panel and set pcsx2 to use global setting (high performance nvidia processor)

anisotropic filtering off
antialiasing fxaa off
antialiasing mode off
cuda-gpus all
maximum pre rendered frames set to use 3d application
multi display/mixed gpu acceleration set to single play performance
power management mode prefer maximum performance
shader cache off
texture filtering anistropic sample option off
texture filtering negative LOD bias allowed
texture filtering quality high quality
texture filtering tilinear optimization on
threaded optimization auto
triple buffering off
v sync off
virtual reality pre rendered frames 1

wasnt sure if u wanted this but just in case i set something bad for the emulator

first, don't assign pcsx2 to the nvidia control panel. it just gives unfavorable results.

ok ill take it off, i only did it because someone suggested to do it with dolphin emu so i did at for everything after but i can see how it would mess with the emulator because it has its own settings whereas dolphin need control panel for it, thanks Smile

what are the current EE and GS values while playing the game ? and, use the mtvu hack and check, whether there is any performance gain.

ok ive taken it off but it seems to have not done much although its now averaging 44 fps rather than 47 fps

my current EE value is 42 and my gs is 40 -27 fluctuating

wow hang on i just got a huge speed up for some reason its now running 151 fps
#19
ok its definitely a game glitch or something in the main menu and battle screen it was running at 150 fps went back to the cutscene it somehow dropped to 45 fps again
#20
the main menu is less demanding so, it's natural to have higher fps. I think that's the best your cpu could achieve in this game. I don't know any further tips to speed it up. but, try using different video backends and fiddle with the speedhack settings and try every combination to achieve the best fps Wink
