Would do the same if you stop and change settings to native, the crash is not the software toggle but the reset it does to apply the settings.

When ever I run FF X-2 it starts at 50 fps, then plummets down to 10 fps during the opening video, how do I fix this?

lol why the 2600k and not the 3900 series if u say one of the more expensive CPUs, why not go all the way

is you get problems with video, simply Turn on the Last hack which enables auto swith to gdfs and you'll be fine.
