extract it to a brand new folder, then copy over your memcards folder.
you won't lose your progress this way

I figured it out. The game works fine, but when I play a tag team match and I start recording with obs streamlabs thats when the lag starts. I tried messing with some settings but it still didn't work. I'll just wait until I finish my new PC and start streaming from there.
