That GPU is ancient;p maybe it's dying or at least overheats and fails, do you clean the dust of it's radiator/heatsink?(ever did it? lolsTongue) I would check the sensor tab in GPU-Z, make sure the option to continue refreshing while in the background is selected and play again to check it's max temp when the blackscreen start showing.

alternatively you could use HWMonitor and report back with your temps

miseru99 could be right about your graphics card dying which could be a number of things

tim (thermal interface material or heat sink paste) can dry out, leading to components overheating because they aren't connected to the heatsink (hard to detect without stripping the card down) which can leave you with a dead card if you don't use antistatic protection/ know how to take things apart/put them back together

my advice is simple

switch the pc off at the wall and unplug it ,check to see if the graphics card has dust in it

then if it has, get a small paint brush and gently brush the dust from the fan slot (i take no responsibility for any damage done to your pc or graphics card)

don't use a hoover ,without stopping the fan moving first ,
as the fan spinning backwards can generate electricity and damage the fans circuitry and/or your graphics cards voltage regulator to the fan

have you tried one of the latest svn builds?

you can always transfer your memory cards into the latest version by simply copying and pasting the folder memcards into the new svn build

i always keep a copy of my memory cards incase my drive dies Cool

but it is however listed in the "will work but slowly" section, not that card specifically, but that series.
