Dark Cloud 2 Playability
I had a friend look at the case and the Cooler, so it should fit fine. I still have not got round to purchasing it just yet. But it should be all right, graphics card should be arriving sometime this week. May have to look into getting another motherboard though as the one I was set to buy was out of stock currently. It could however be in stock when I have enough money to actually purchase it. Then that just leaves RAM and the dreaded CPU costs, not to mention that if I want to have two different systems with two different uses, I will need to get a new power supply also.

I know it's expensive, but it will be a massive upgrade. There is no ps2 game that you shouldn't be able to run as long as it is listed as playable in the compatibility list.

You're correct on that. Should be about another £380 - 400 for the extra parts (Wow!) I'm going to take a look at the compatibility list now I think.

Motherboard socket: 775
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD7870 2GB
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.8GHz (Can overclock to 3.2Ghz)
RAM: 4GB

Hey. Thanks for your reply, but if you'd have read the rest of the thread, you would know that I'm not going to get those upgrades anymore and am going for a more high spec computer. We're currently discussing components and how well they would work together, as well as pricing.

Right now I've got the case, HDD, new fans and the graphics card shall be on it's way next week sometime. I think the next thing to focus on would be the motherboard. A intel gigabyte 1155 Z77 should do nicely. Then I can focus on other things such as RAM and the i5. Here is a low down on the specs of the new system.

Case: K5-7688 case
Motherboard: Gigabyte 1155 Z77
Graphics: AMD HD 7870
Ram: 8GB DDR3
CPU: 3570k i5
Fans: 2 180mm fans (One front, one back), 2 80mm Blue Leds, 2 more 80mm fans.

Hopefully that can handle what I want? Thanks for all your help guys, I will be posting more soon! Laugh I'm sure Gigabytes can be over clocked if needed, as I've used them for most of my life.

I'd personally go with the Corsair 200R, I built my sexy beast in that. Very very spacey, I love it. And cheap too, only 47 euros.

That's true, I've already got my case, it's sitting downstairs. Smile In other news, I've gotten my old system back so I should be online a lot more then I was previously. Also, my brother told me that that Radeon 7870 needs a x2 6 pins from the power supply and I currently only have one 6 pin connector.

He said that rather then getting a new power supply I could "possibly get a adapter that would use 2 hdd power plugs and convert them" if that's possible? Would that work better? He also told me how beneficial, helpful and useful it was, so I'll probably get one of them very soon. Also, the cooler that I currently have in this system will fit and work in my new one. So I don't need to worry about a cooler unless I want to get the 2 system build, which I probably will.

He is right, you can use an adapter but it's generally not a good idea to do it like that and I personally wouldn't. How many watts is your PSU?
