Just as a side note:
If I am in the middle of a long game, I tend to keep that version of PCSX2 on my system until I beat the game. Before I start a new game I check for the latest version and download that. So depending on how many concurrent games I am playing I could have 3 or 4 versions at once. They don't really take up more then a few MB so it doesn't hurt. If I download a vewer version I personally name the folder latest and change the name of the previous latest to the game\games I am finishing on it. Though if you are using a frontend you might not want to do that (depends on how big a pain the frontend is with folder name changes).
I will change in the middle of a game if, and only if, there is an issue with the game and the newer version fixes it.
