FFXII IZJS w/ English patch - question

Hello. For those who are playing IZJS with the English patch on PCSX2 0.9.7...

Is it normal that I don't see health "bars" under the numerical values?

See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3P0wJUeV...page#t=51s (That's the Japanese version being played on a console). You can clearly see the bars under the health numbers.

This person claims to be playing it on his modded PS2, and he clearly has the health bars.

However, playing with PCSX2 I don't see those. Does anyone know of any settings in PCSX2 that will fix this?

They are not visible here too but I'm not talking about PCSX2.

That's not the health bar but the bar for summoning espers. I don't know the actual term, but e.g. you need 2 bars to summon a specific esper and for another three bars (or one).

Hmm.. I think you're right. I guess I was confused because I was so used to playing the US release - and they are health bars in that version.

Thanks for pointing that out! I feel kinda stupid now... here I thought it was an error in the way the emulator was displaying the game.

That's called "Mist Bar", as Mugen said used for summoning espers and quickening.
