Software rendering runs with the CPU only, so upgrading your video card wouldn't make a difference, you'd need to upgrade your CPU to make it faster.

Here is some strange Onimusha Dawn of Dreams (PAL) stuff.
Menues / Viewing documents that are important for solving riddels in the game are not readable since they are displayed strange garbage and in some areas the background tripps out.
Playable though

The rar contains 4 gs dumps..
I discoverd serveal of those swirly areas in the game while I played through, some of them were more servere than others..they are all similar though :

Menu Garbage
Overlit and swirly image.
Swrily image broken colors and strange look of the displayed frame.
Hair is the only thing that's displayed normal.

Well, I'm no fan of this game. Could you upload a .gs dump somewhere that shows it?

We call this game "Tales of Crashia due to the GSdx errors"
ZeroGS isn't any better btw, its just like impossible to emulate nice and fast.

look at the the attachment
sw mode is a bit slow OK alot slow(7-10 fps)
hw mode is fast (40-60 fps) but the graphics are horrible

The game propably does a brightening pass, and we have problems doing that in hardware.
Sometimes it'll be too bright, sometimes too dim.
Solution for now: Turn up your monitor brightness!
