it really depends on which cpu frequency do you have

many games, why would you want to play in software mode anyway? :/

because of the green lines on some games!

i really hate those lines, i am just prapairing the specs on my mind, and i am going to buy the parts once when i get all set.

thanks for the quick answers.

well that is justified reason, but other games which work in hw mode will also looks better there given you can up some setting with your spec.

but i guess you know that. Laugh

yeah you got that right.

on top of the better look the hardware are faster than the software mode and that's really what i am wondering about "why does soft mode really terrible at speed on alittle old pc?"

just like my corrent one with p4 @ 3.00Ghz and 4 gb ram with an nvidia 8600Gt 512mb

that's real old i know thats why i kept waiting and i found some interesting cooling other than the liquid it a micro fridge system from thermal take it's rcs100 but the mobo capable with it are little old and i am wondering if it is capable with gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9
and here is the mobo page :

Unfortunately GSdx doesn't scale very well with more threads.
You'll get a slight speedup from the 5th and 6th core, but no more than 10% I'd say.
So in the end there will be games that fall below 60FPS still.
Many others will get right about 60FPS.

yeah i know that 'cause the emu isn't completed yet.

i mean it a program issue right ?

and will you make it support that 6 cores in the future ?

It's mostly an issue of the work that has to be done.
As so often in computing (and especially in emulation) you can't increase the parallelism much.

I'm sure we'll try and get some more speed out of it though Wink

yeah thanx for the great emulator, and keep improving pcsx2.

i wish it will be completed soon, but there seem to be thousands of issues.
