GSdx
I am having a flickering issue using 0.1.16 [gsdx-sse2-r3878] where the whole window will flicker every few seconds like you were jiggling the video cables for your TV.

Older builds don't have this issue, but they have other, bigger issues like crazy polygons or not being able to render certain overlays.

Any thoughts on a fix?

I'm using Direct 3d 10
Interlacing : none (though the problems happen regardless of which interlacing option i choose)
d3d internal res: 1024x1024

Texture filtering to the third state

could you please add this CRC to GSdx?
Code:
{0xC70FC973, ValkyrieProfile2, IT, 0}
It's for Valkyria Profile 2: Silmeria, italian localized version (PAL-I). This game is also missing from the game database, so here it is the entry that has to be added:
Code:
---------------------------------------------
Serial = SLES-54647
Name   = Valkyrie Profile 2 - Silmeria
Region = PAL-I
Compat = 5
VuAddSubHack = 1
---------------------------------------------

Done, thanks Smile

Are there any plans to add support for AMD chips, or are they just stuck with SSE2? (Of course, the only support you guys could add would be backwards to SSE3 or something...)

Upcoming AMD chips will have support for SSE4.1 and AVX, so those won't be "stuck" in SSE2.

Nifty. Though, of course, that means I'm going to have to upgrade my processor again, and I'll have to hope they support AM2 with these or get a new mobo entirely.

Gah, I need a job. Glare

The latter. They'll support certain AM3 boards, but they'll be native AM3+ socket and they completely lack a DDR2 memory controller so they won't work in AM2.

there has been no official confirmation on Bulldozer supporting SSE4.x

Interesting. How about AVX?

http://blogs.amd.com/developer/2009/05/0...a-balance/ older article, but it is indeed referring to bulldozer and there has been no mention of plans changing since that. AVX is undoubtedly confirmed there.

Again, older but states that the SSE4.1 instruction sets were planned for bulldozer... http://support.amd.com/us/Processor_TechDocs/43479.pdf

Actually... looking at those, AVX standard includes SSE4.1 and 4.2 as part of its specification... so if something is AVX compliant, it should be SSE4.1 compliant.
