that's due to the way how the GS calls are converted into directX calls.
For DX9, gabest used workarounds to get effects working how they should. For DX10/11, he used other methods because it provides more features. Main Rig: i7-3770k @4.5ghz | 16GB DDR3 | Nvidia GTX 980 TI | Win 10 X64 Laptop: MSI GT62VR | i7-6700HQ | 16GB DDR4 | Nvidia GTX 1060 | Win 10 X64

By any chance does anyone know a freeze frame function with pcsx2? Oh and playing final fantasy x (09-24-2011, 10:23 PM)Nexxxus Wrote: That's game dependent. Interesting....I'll be sure to take notice of that when I get there. Speed hasnt been a issue yet. Been averaging 59frames all the time. In relation to FFX, how does DX9 compare to DX10/11? Is it one of the exceptions where DX9 is better?

DX10/11 is better for FFX.
DX9 slows down when I'm in the south of the Mihen Highroad (The spot when you leave Luca) on my GT540M. Main Rig: i7-3770k @4.5ghz | 16GB DDR3 | Nvidia GTX 980 TI | Win 10 X64 Laptop: MSI GT62VR | i7-6700HQ | 16GB DDR4 | Nvidia GTX 1060 | Win 10 X64

Hmmm... that most certainly shouldn't be happening... Maybe it's a driver issue? Try updating to the latest nvidia graphics drivers, restore default settings in the nvidia control panel and giving DX10/11 another shot.

I made sure all drivers were updated before installing pcsx2, However it seems that the latest drivers contained some sort of bug. nVidia is trying to resolve it as we speak.
incase anyone else is having trouble with nvidia cards http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=210084 |
