GSdx
In one of the latest changes: "gsdx-ogl: allow to dump texture as png file".

First step to a future "load custom textures" feature?

not related at all. GSdx allows to dump input texture/output texture as bmp file. I just add a way to convert them to png.

Remains an issue, I have some strange noisy dot on the rendering. I don't know if you have them too on windows.

I don't get that noise rendering but I still do get issues on the opengl end. shadows not quite lined up properly and some lines of shadow color (shade shift sheets) I can't explain with words:

Well I got nowhere with the xBRZ stuff. However, I have a new thing I am considering now.

Dolphin supports texture dumping/loading and it has been brought up in regards to PCSX2 quite a few times. It'd be a nice feature to have, and open up a world of awesome things to do(like our own HD remasters, e.g. like https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-xe...ch-25-2015 )

In my mind it shouldn't be hard to do. Correct me if I'm wrong but, at some point in the code of GSdx, PS2 style texture have been converted to PC style textures. Right? It should be fairly simple at that point to write them out as .dds or .png, and the same to load them in at that point. Am I wrong?

Could you generate me a GS dump (shift+F8). I have a big one to measure performance but it is awful for the debug

@blyss sarania
Sure it is very easy Smile Except for a few details Smile
1/ There is already code to dump PC texture as bmp/dds/(and now png). Note it is awfully slow.
2/ How do you map PC texture number n with "my_sword_in_hd.png". GS handles texture as a byte stream. It receives a "partial" write to an address A with parameters P1/P2...

There's one in there but I'll post what it looks like for dx11.
Edit: ignore bad offset of effects on character:

Yes I saw it but I don't have exactly the same here. Shadow starts on the feet Smile
