How Do I Refresh My Memory Card?

the virtual memory card is full so how do I just delete whatevers on it and start fresh?

like you would do on your PS2.
delete each savegame via the browser.

You can also just delete it and create a new one or create a new one and set to to the slot you want from Config=>Memory Cards

Yeah, I would create a new (and bigger) memory card and keep the old one around for later.

how do I format my memory card? I create a new one but pcsx2 says its not 'formatted'

Like you would do on a real ps2.
Through the browser in the bios.

Most of the time, the game will let you format your memcard directly.
