The widescreen patch for this game title does not seem to be reflected with a message saying it cannot be found.
The version is 1.7.5804
Other game titles have been adapted without any problems, so I think the method is correct.
Is there any solution?
While @Agrippa has posted their patch last year, its side effect is that it could be permanently stored on a memcard. My patch modifies the only widescreen getter function, making it fully temporary (as in, not saved to the memory card).
Just a request?
Any chance of an fixed fov patch for Colin mcrae rally 04's widescreen mode. The widescreen on the ps2 version sucks.
I don't know if the second address has the 100% correct value, it's the zoom/FOV basically. I made my best and it looks good but someone might do a better job.
Also, due to rendering restrictions, sometimes buildings can be unrendered in the far sides of the screen. It's clear the game renders only what's pretty much in front of the player to save GPU cost. In 16:9 (and maybe 21:9) it's still within range, but in 32:9 we definitely hit the crazy route, so sometimes in the open city we see stuff not being rendered at the edges. Not terrible, just a small comment. It's ok inside buildings/houses.
