if the patch you download is correct you should see in the console panel the name of the game
to check if the correct option is enabled or not simply open the patch file with notepad
and put // after the option you DONT WANT to use and of course remove to use - easy

a tip some time is the patch read for example patch=1,EE,200A0028,word,848200E8 anf the cheat do not work
or the game crash or freeze try use the extended value instead in this way patch=1,EE,200A0028,extended,848200E8

And it doesn't work. So I should try extended instead of word?
I checked the console and it says "XML Loader returned an error. Trying to load a pnach...Gametitle: God of War 2 patchnumber: 1".

this patch only fix the video problem , this one do not add any cheat
