Ratchet: Deadlocked HUGE Glow
#1
Got through R&C 3 no problem, only that mild lag when there were a lot of enemies present, but that only lasted a couple seconds anyway. And the occasional VFX that didn't quite follow its object too well, but that was no biggie either. Other than that, flawless with D3D11 (Hardware) and Preset: 3 - Balanced! Now I moved to Deadlocked, without touching the settings, and this massive glow floods everything.  Blink  And that parallel VFX thing is present here too. Looks slightly blurry too, but it's been so long since I played the actual game on the PS2, maybe that's just how it was.  Huh

I enabled widescreen in-game, because the cropped cutscenes didn't sit too well with me, as well as progressive scan. Here's the emulog:

Do you have skipdraw enabled maybe?

I don't see what gpu you have in the log but if it's nvidia, better switch to OpenGL
I just tried the game and it works fine and while I was messing with the settings(the game seems to be cpu intensive and setting VU Cycle Stealing to 1,gives you a huge speed boost...like in the other R&C games)I find something...do you have the HW Hack skipdraw set to 1 because when it is set to 1 I also get that problem

I have the mobile version of 6700

Hi! I'm sorry I didn't reply at the time, I must have missed the email. o-o; Also, I put my specs in my signature for easy checking.

So with OpenGL (Hardware) the gloom is still here. It's gone with either plugin in software mode, but it's all so annoyingly blurry. Skipdraw is set to 1, what should I set it to?

Skipdraw to 0, Half Pixel Offset to Normal, Blending Unit Accuracy to Basic, Disable Depth Emulation checked. See what that does for you.

Edit: Also note that the higher you crank up the internal resolution, the worse the bloom misalignment may be. Half Pixel Offset will help correct this to a satisfactory level on lower resolutions, but past 4x upscaling it may get out of control no matter what you do.

Edit again after testing: Enabling Skipdraw 1 causes the bloom to explode everywhere.
