Save State issues with KH2FM
#1
I've been trying to run a save state from this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qsfXYkygxA& (Here's the save state http://www.mediafire.com/file/9caz785n17...+state.zip) However, when I try to run it I just get a black screen. I'm running PCSX2 1.4.0 with preset 2 KH2FM is running from ISO
I was hoping someone could help with as I have had no luck elsewhere in trying to fix this.

PC Specs
NVIDIA GeForce 940M 2GB
Intel Core i5 6200U @ 2.30GHz
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3

In the pcsx2 directory in logs there is a file and emulog
Try loading the save state and then post the file(don't run pcsx2 again before posting it because pcsx2 auto updated the file while it is running)

Probably the save state is damaged or not compatible with your pcsx2 version

Edit:
I also see that some codes are used and they are not raw, they look like codebreaker v1 encrypted)

Would the codes effect the playability of the save state?

It is possible but I doubt it(at least for the loading part and not doing anything after that)

It is also possible that the person with the video is using some modified version of kh2fm...some differnt translation patch than you.
And BTW,from that image I only see that you are saving to slot 5,not loading a save state

That video was made in 2015. Chances are the Save State was from 1.2.1, 1.3.0/1.3.1, or even lower. Either way, big chance it's not compatible with 1.4.0.

And as vsub said, it might be a different patch that was used as well, slightly altering the ISO a bit, causing the Save State to also be incompatible.
