Set for Software but Opens with Hardware

Hi, every time I run a game I have to reach down and hit the F9 key to switch back to software mode even though I have the game's plugin defaulting in Software mode.

Is there someway to load a game keeping my default in place?

1.Did you tried running pcsx2 as admin
2.Are the settings actually saved...enter the gsdx settings=>do some change and hit ok=>enter again and see if the new changes are there

I have compatibility set to Admin for all users and PCSX2 saves my settings. It even saves the graphics plugin set to Software but for some reason each time I start PCSX2 it defaults to Hardware.

Taking Tekken 5, for example, the game will begin real slow with the sound being stretched and cruddy so I'll have to reach down and tap F9 to get it to run at a proper speed.

Unless it is starting off in Software (as set) and Software mode is slower than Hardware mode for me. I figured Software mode was meant to take up less resources...

Software mode will rely soley on your CPU.
It can emulate with less errors, but is often slower and always at low res.

Hardware mode is more ideal, as it will utilize your GPU.

What are your CPU and GPU...?
