unless your video card is fanless you don't need to.

The op already did clean their system. I'm thinking the heatsink isn't making good contact with the cpu.

i was thinking more about this heat issue i was thinking on concerns if his underneath CPU heatsink where you apply thermal paste was dried out
maybe re-applying thermal paste will do.

there is no way you can get 6ofps with the cpu you mentioned , if u say you got 60 fps before , i think you could have changed some settings in the bios to default settings , that has made this change

All the Kingdom Hearts games are incredibly easy to run.

I'm not saying I get it all the time, but I do most of the time

I'll look into that. I tried not to be too harsh when I put it in, because I had to push kind of hard, and I don't want to damage the motherboard even though I'm getting a complete upgrade here soon

Because every other game I try to play on the emulator runs at 30-45 fps and all off the KH games on ps2 can run at mainly 50-60 fps with the exception of stuff like the second axel fight in 2, (as mentioned in the other post I made)

**UPDATE**

I think I got it working correctly. as mentioned earlier, some thought I pout my stuff in wrong, and after messing around with my fan and stuff I'm pretty sure it's in correctly.

On standby it's at about 100-120 degrees F, and while playing on my emulator/ other games it's at about 185-200 degrees.

KH2 isn't technically easy to run but the first one is.
