Read first: Will PCSX2 run fast on my computer?
But at least it's more future-proof and uses the same 6-pin PCI power plug that a 8800GT uses.

will my pc be able to run games full speed or close with the specs in my sig...altho instead of the 6150se i'll get a 9800gt or 9600gt. i'm trying to play naruto games, dbz and some gundam games, mostly rpg.

Short answer : nope.

A bit long answer :
No onboard gfx will be able to bring PS2 emulation close to full speed, and CPU has to be at least close to 3.0GHz.
A 9800GT is fine, but maybe you might want to OC the CPU too.

can't take risk to oc cpu with only 400 watts, no case fan and only an 80mm Spire cooler

EDIT: Do i really need 3ghz??? i mean, i already get 75-90% speed on Naruto games with x1.5 cycle rate...

As long as you are not GPU-limited, speed increases almost linearly with cpu-clock-speed. So yeah, you need ~3 GHz to get around 100% speed in almost all 3D games.

Hi, I was wondering what PCSX2 run like on my computer? It's a Quad Core so I guess it would run nice, but I've heard that PCSX2 doesn't support more than 2 cores. Is that true? Sad

No/maybe if you only want to play those games.
Not every games are compatible with speedhacks, but if what you're playing is, then not hitting 3.0GHz is probably fine.

I'm just saying that hitting 3.0GHz to run PCSX2 is recommended in general.

Your PC'd run fine, as long as you don't mind slight gfx glitches from speedhacks.
What games are you going to play anyway?

And yeah, I think PCSX2 (well, GSdx) supports multi-threading, but not multi-cores, but CMIIW.

yup, only those games, i was surprsied you said 3ghz since i have seen people play those games well with weaker cpu then mine altho with a decent video card. i'm 110% sure my gpu is a horrible bottleneck.

My personal rule in recommending something is not trying to find the minimum requirement of specific cases, but the average minimum of the general ones...well, anyway... =b

I think if you want to add a discrete gfx card you need to get a new PSU; 400W will just break your system faster due to the components stressed from not getting enough power.
Keep in mind that PSU wattage never reflects its real output; your PSU most likely will provide less than 400W.
As a comparison, a 8800GT needs around ~100W reserved for it alone, and I don't know whether it's for idle or under full load.

Ok, I have an m17x Alienware Laptop, here are my specs:

-Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9000 2.0GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
-4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz
-Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 2GB – SLI® Enabled

How do you think it will handle pcsx2? I appreciate your help guys, I am trying to get everything set up and just have to dump my BIOS and I am ready. Thanks for your help.
