Read first: Will PCSX2 run fast on my computer?
yeah... you're a newbie, let someone like Rezard answer...
because I think I saw that with a Geforce 6600 most games work smoothly... and my integrated videocard is better than GF6600, as my old pc had gf6600 and I made a benchmark comparation...

Also I said I want resolution of 640x480 , this resolution doesn't require a powerful GPU at all... unless pcsx2 is really poorly optimized...
And people say A 'core duo @2.6GHz' works good with pcsx2, and this amd is Athlon II x4 3GHz like 5 times better... (I said core duo, not i3, i5, or i7... core 2 duo which is worse than i3, and i3 is kinda equal to athlon II x2, so... bottleneck my d*** Laugh )

and I am not an idiot, of course EVERY Game will run with FULL SPEED with a 1GB GDDR5 256bit card...
my question was about the specs I have, SO PLEASE STFU, and let others answer!

Actually your integrated GPU is not better than a 6600... and if your best defense was comparing it to a 7 years old mid-range card (back then) you're way off...

The resolution is barely one of the aspects that make it good for emulation... shader speed in a 6600gt for example was poor back then (and that's what you're comparing to Tongue2), can't even compare to what's needed nowadays... but sure if you want to play a 2d game in PCSX2 you should be able to handle without much of a problem, might even feel a couple 3d games "fast enough" when limited by the resolution but for more demanding games? not gonna happen..

Yes, core 2 duo and Athlon II have comparable speeds, so your Athlon II x4 @3GHz would compare to around a Core 2 @3Ghz and as Firnis mentioned, the CPU should be able to handle games fine but in some games it will be lacking (some games are more demanding than others).

not all games will run full speed with the highest end of cards, they'll simply let you use very high resolutions but if your game's bottleneck is the CPU then the speed should remain the same.

It all comes down to the games you want to play really, some being more demanding than others, some that has CPU as the bottleneck and others that have GPU as the bottleneck (this ones will affect you the most).

are you retarded? I said I have an 10 years old pc, and wanted to see the difference between the pcs... with benchmark, and HD4250 is better than 6600, also, I remember 2 years ago I installed pcsx2 on my old pc and everything worked pretty well in menus and intros, but in actual gameplay it was rendering half the fps, so games looked like in the matrix... slow motion...
And why I compare it with 7 years old? Besides that I actually have an ancient pc at my home, that has that videocard, I saw this:

ATi Radeon 9100
Most onboard graphics cards (excluding the GeForce 61X0 series and 5200 Go)

Will work but require GSDX - Very poor performance:

Radeon 9200 - Reported to work with ZeroGS too!
Radeon 9250
Intel GMA950 - confirmed to work
Geforce 4

Will work on both graphics plugins, but possibly poor performance

Radeon 9500 to 9800 series
Radeon X300 to X8x0 series
Geforce 5200 (Go included) to 6500 series (also including
Geforce 61x0 onboard series)
Geforce 7100

Will work at a reasonable to very good level of speed with both plugins:

Geforce 6600 series and above (excluding above mentioned)
ATi Radeon X1300 series and above - need confirmation for X1300

You are worse than a noob...
And...

ROFL You are really retarded... Core 2 Duo - dual core is WORSE than i3 it can't be compared to Athlon II x2, some i3 processors can be compared with Athlon II x2... This is Athlon II x4 which can be compared to some i5 processors (most i5 are far better, but some are equal or less)

Dude... you're a total N00B

The only reason the CPU wouldn't handle pcsx2 in some games, would be the fact that they don't support quad cores, and uses only 2 cores, (that was 2 years ago, if they didn't make support for quad cores until now, the pcsx2 coders are idiots)

Besides that, ps2 can't handle games that appeared after 2007 (the games after 2007 are reduced to graphics and physics that ps2 can handle, ps2 versions of ps3 games...) so a GeForce 6600 and a SINGLE CORE Athlon 64 @2GHz can handle every game until 2008 at high settings, so, a simple Athlon II x2 should work perfectly with every game for ps2 + pcsx2 emulator, and pcsx2 emulator doesn't need a videocard, the games do, and the games don't need a better graphic card than a GeForce 6600, and HD4250 is better than the 6600, and Athlon II x4 @3GHz is Quad Core at 3GHz, not a single core at 2GHz... (every gaame even from 2011, at maximum settings don't need a better CPU, only a better GPU, a 1GB DDR5 256bit should be perfect for everygame that appeared until this day to play at maximum settings)
... so YOU ARE REALLY A RETARDED NOOB

what about stop spaming and think wisely Angry

Athlon II x4 is much weaker than any i3 with the same clock what about checking the benchmarks ( without mentioning the OC ability Wink )

and you are the biggest noob i have ever seen Tongue
how could you compare PS2 to a PC are you crazy
you must dont know anything about emulation Wink

Obviously, you have no Idea of what you're talking about or you're a supercoder. Feel free to bring your services to the project instead of whining

oh sorry.
Actually you can't be a supercoder if you ignore what re-writing an application to make it support more cores represents.
It's a monster work, and wouln't bring much more fps (maybe 5% max).

I suggest you come back when you grow up.

hello, i could use some help configuring pcsx2 0.9.8

PC:
win7 x64
CPU: DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 3000 MHz 6000+, instructions: x86, x86-64, MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3
Ram: 2 GB DDR2, PC2-6400 dual chanel
VGA: GF 8800GTS, 320 MB, 320 bits bus width

whitch bios version is the best, whitch plugins shuld i use, what plugin settings should i use for gpu and cpu, what emulation settings i should set? does this emu support ps3 joystick?

thx
