Read first: Will PCSX2 run fast on my computer?
You did not include what your processor is clocked at, which is the main factor for PCSX2 speed. Also you listed 2 graphics card, which one do you have...?

its 2.10 Ghz
and it's the first graphic card the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 ^^'' sorry for listing two

Your processor is quite old, and pretty slow for PCSX2 in general.
Your GPU is also pretty weak. Even if DDR3, but especially if DDR2.

Either way;
Set the internal resolution low (i.e. native), and apply Speedhacks to potentially help with the speed.
Don't expect much better with that laptop than what that can give you.

Hello, Iv recently got a new PC and I was wondering would I see a 'Massive' speed improvement from my old PC to my new one? :s
Here are my old PC specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4450e @2.30GHz
Windows Vista 32-bit
3GB DDR2
ATI Raedon HD 4600 1GB

And here are my new specs:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition @3.20GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
8GB DDR3 1333mhz
ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB

My old PC runs any gave at 20-30fps on fighting games (But I got Soul Calibur 3 running at 40-50fps with speedhacks) will my new PC be able to run games at atleast 40-50 or 60 fps on the following games?

Dark Cloud
Dark Chronicle (DC2)
Dragon Quest VIII
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts II
Rouge Galaxy
Soul Calibur II
Soul Calibur III
Tekken 4
Tekken 5
Tekken Tag
Virtua Fighter 4
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution

Thanks, it's my first time here LOL Smile

Since your grapich card HD 5570 is bit weak then first try any of games with native res at gsdx plugin then set allow8bit texture ON and All of other setting in pcsx2 with default config, if you see ingame FULL fps then try up scale your res at 2x native or more or with custom res.

For heavy games you can try with speedhacks and MTVU hacks for your quadcore cpu but do not use ALL of speedhacks set to maximum especially EEx and vucycle x hack or you will get fake fps or slowdown will occured.

The HD 5570 can come in a wide variety of configurations. It would be most important to note which data rate yours is.

DDR2 = Very weak. Keep the res low, and hope for the best.
GDDR3 = Decent enough in general. Don't be suprised if still limited to lower res in more GPU heavy situations.
GDDR5 = You'll be great. Not always the highest of res, but should always handle some up-scaling.

That Phenom is decent, and would handle, as well as benefit from, some OCing (if you can). Those games you've listed will mostly do fine. Expecting 40-60fps would be a fair expectation. Use Speedhacks, and take every advantage you can get when necessary (i.e. OC your CPU, the superVU1 recompiler or the MTVU hack). Smile

Thanks for the info, I found out that my 5570 is a GDDR3 Smile also it says that I can use 'Turbo Mode' on my Phenom II so that it only uses 2 cores @3.6ghz would this be ok if I used this all the time for PCSX2 emulation? because I have a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 CPU cooler installed too. Do you think it would get too hot If I use 'Turbo Mode' all the time? :s

EDIT: I also found out that my RAM is 1333MHz and I know you normally need atleast 1600MHz Sad is this enough to OC it to more than 3.6GHz for my 1333MHz ram?

Sorry about all these n00by questions >_<

Ram speed is almost entirely irrelevant to PCSX2... If you have a modern enough CPU and GPU to run PCSX2 at full speed, you've almost certainly got fast enough ram paired with it (Unless for some reason you're running DDR400)

Chances are your CPU/mobo is already set to use 'turbo mode' (I believe it's called Turbo core for AMD) and automatically does so. Your CPU is designed to use it automatically with stock cooling, any additional aftermarket cooler is just icing on the cake.

your cpu called black edition that mean is multiplier unlocked. you can increase your clock cpu by rising multipier without need to increase FSB clock, that mean doesnt effect to your ram speed.Smile

OMG thanks again! this is the first time i'v ever OC a CPU Glare But I have another question, how many FPS would it improve from 3.20Ghz to 4.00GHz? I know PCSX2 hates AMD processors -_- but would I get 60FPS if I OC it? and would it be ok to OC with just a CPU air cooler, or does it have to be water cooled?

And one last question, would it be ok if I did OC if I only have a 500w PSU and do you think it's underpowered for my specs?
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition @3.20GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
8GB DDR3 1333mhz
ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB
Gigabyte 870A-USB3L Mobo
500W PSU

(Sorry for troubling you all, this must be really annoying for some of you for me to keeps asking questions like this Sad )
