OK.. Although its an AMD, 3.8Ghz may suffice for many games. Graphics Card is good(although much more than good) for most games. Many games will run fullspeed. You need to sit with SSE2 though

Wow, very nice specs. YES. You can even overclock that Intel I7 2600 to 4Ghz. It will run games at good speed

Unless it's an i7 2600k he won't be able to overclock to 4GHz, 3.8GHz if he has an overclocking mobo is about it.

OK, even 3.8Ghz isn't bad. :o It well good for many.
I am a new comer to PCSX2. I think I have got a quite fast computer but I got roughly 40 fps in most games, GT4 is quite worst, around 30 fps. Is that normal with my config or I have to do some more optimization ?
My Config : I5-750 2.66G 4G Ram ATI 6950 2G Ram Seagate 1.5T HD Windows 7 32 bit SVN 4951 DX11 Hardware mode

Your i5 isn't too fast @ 2.66Ghz, but Turboing at 3.2Ghz should be pretty good.
I just have to wonder what "most games" would include, since it would take some of the heavier games to not get more than 40fps out of a handful (of course, you have already mentioned one of the heaviest). Especially if you are utilizing what Speedhacks you can, your system is capable of better (depending on the game).

Core i7 920 Bloomfield Overclocked to 3.6 Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 570 (When it gets here. Radeon X700 right now) 6 GBs DDR3 RAM 10,000 RPM Hard Drive (Games are stored locally on the hard drive) Looking to run: Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy X-2 Final Fantasy XII Dragon Quest VIII Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts II Radiata Stories Rogue Galaxy Looking to run games at 1920x1080 in 46" HDTV. Should I have ANY problems? Also, will the 10,000 RPM drive help any over the regular 7200 RPM drives (Since games are stored on the hard drive)? Would an SSD provide even better performance? |
