Pcsx2 latest snapshoot (r.976), gsdx. v.952.0.1.15 (directx.10 mode, native res and texture filtering enable, interlance blend bbf 1/2fps), sound plugin Peopspu2 1.9, cdvd.1.0 from gabest/gigahertzcdvd for cdvd plugin. speed hacks x2 cycle rates, advance potion clamp to normal for EE recs, clamp to none for Vu recs, enable all Ftz and DaZ. vu skip to 60, 56, 1, 3. i play this game in OS Vista32 Sp.1 to gain more fps rather than Os XP with Tekken5 ISO mount at daemon tools program.

Here's my experience with the new hack and Tekken 5.
The game doesn't break if the hack is set to max but the fps counter gets crazy and everything is slower even if it shows fullspeed.
I then set the limiter to normal to see what happens and the fps got up to about 70-80 and the actual game got a speed boost too without skipping and was "real full speed" (sometimes even faster) with a false fps counter.I played about half an hour and didn't experience any problems. This was tested on a stock C2D E6750 @ 2.6Ghz ..i usually clock it to 3.6Ghz, compiled rev987.
Try it out, it's worth a shot
About the startup problem.I remember that there were problems with starting the game with Run CD/DVD on newer bios versions but that Run->Execute always worked...dunno.
On a side note:you can go up to 1200x1200 in dx9 mode without getting vertical stripes,in dx10 though I do get stripes

If run>execute does not work then use File>run CD/DVD
If it still leads to the browser then configure your CD/DVD plugin to point to the correct rom drive or ISO located on your HDD

did it work full speed on 2.6GHZ?
If so then I'll also try it, though my cpu is only 2.3ghz, Overclockable to 2.6 on stock.

@redlof : i think c2d 2.6ghz will be enough to play tekken5 game with new hack. For share, i have AMD CPU at.3.1ghz, pcsx2 r.984 with new hack set to moderate, cpu set to limit, i get full 60fps but ingame litle bit slow so i set to minimal for new hack and i have to take vu skip in option to gain 60fps without bit slow ingame. I try that game in OS Vista.

I have windows7 and XP with an X2 4400+ running at 2.56 GHZ. I haven't tried pcsx2 for a while now. Can you please tell me precisely what settings I should use.

@redlof : i just download pcsx2 v.1002, so try this game in windows7 then for directx.10 mode, if your gpu support directx.10, this feature can give you more fps. take speed hacks x2 cyle rates, vu cycle stealing at moderate but ingame bit slow regadless full fps/60fps or you can take at slight speedup to prevent that slow. for me gpu plugin gsdx.r.1006 0.1.15 (directx.10 mode, native res and texture filtering enable, interlance blend bbf 1/2fps), sound plugin Peopspu2 1.9 (this plugin is still good without unsync at.50fps between sound and frame), cdvd.1.0 from gabest/gigahertzcdvd for cdvd plugin. speed hacks x2 cycle rates, advance potion clamp to normal for EE recs, clamp to none for Vu recs, enable all Ftz and DaZ. CPU set to limit or if you take vu cycle stealing slight speedup you have to take vu skip in option, i think set to 60, 56, 1, 1/2 is still good. take option progressif scan too in menu game if you set native res at gsdx option.
