Well I give up, you'll be aware of this problem with your emulators in DirectX11, I'll just use Directx9 ...

Not necessarily defective, probably something BIOS/driver update can solve in near future.

That's the first gtx 580 that I've seen that comes with 3GB of vram...

Everyone in this thread think that your gtx 580 3gb vram is faulty gpu. You could try to do reinstall your windows to see if the issue go away... If that didn't do the trick then you should RMA the card and get another one.

That's what I would do. Also, there's no point in 3GB of vram, 2GB is just perfect in my opinion for extreme resolution and multi-monitors.
