XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
Hi guy, I need a help, I recently got a new lenova laptop with integarted bloototh reciver, I was unable to install the driver at first to my new device (which ID was not present in the motion joy driver) but I did what was written in the motion joy forum:

Quote:Aight guys I created an account just to help with this issue, a premodified MijXinput.inf will not help. This is what you need to do.

Look at your driver manager
One of them has an X on it correct?
get the name of it, example mine was
USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA&REV_7869
Remove the rev and it'll look like thia
USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA (you will need this later)

go to C:\Program Files\MotioninJoy\ds3\drivers and copy the MijXinput.inf to your desktop
Open it and ctrl+f (this will enable you to search)
search bluetooth (there will be several but do 1 at a time.)
remember the USB\BLAHBALHCRAPBLAH?
Now simply add this to the front %MIJ.DeviceName%=CC_Install, so itll look like this
%MIJ.DeviceName%=CC_Install, USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA
highlight this crap ^ and copy
now under each search result in MijXinput for bluetooth you ctrl+v to paste
at the end it'll be under each. Now search MijXinput.cat (should be near the top)
delete the whole line with MijXinput.cat, if you search again it shouldn't be there.
save as MijXinput-mod.inf or MijXinput2.inf (so you have a backup)
go back to the folder C:\Program Files\MotioninJoy\ds3\drivers
and delete the old one (you have a spare on your desktop) and put the modified one in. Change the name to MijXinput.inf and confirm it.

now as icebluto was saying, you need to enable unsigned drivers install, I'll even tell you how from here.
(assuming you are windows 8 like me)
move your mouse to the right and go to search, and search "advance". click on the setting tab right under search and you should have "advance startup options".
scroll to the bottom and there will be advance startup and you will click restart. (BEFORE YOU DO THAT! TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS OR SOMETHING TO REMEMBER!)

On restart on the menu
Select troubleshoot
Then select Advanced Options
then Windows Startup Settings
and finally Click Restart.

you will now be prompt with a new window for me it was 7, idk for you but it is labeled
"Disable Driver signature Enforcement"
press that key and you will boot.
when you launch up the ds3 tool this time you can install the X'd one. Windows will prompt you for a confirmation and tell it "duh i've gone this far".

the X' will now be a check and you can continue with the tutorial on how to do bluetooth!

and pad had started working, but the problem is every time I restart Windows 8.1 I have to do whatever with the driver and the motion joy itself, the problem is I don't really know what I have to do to make it connect but after few driver loads and pad pairing it start working untill the new reboot... could you please come up with some kind of solution? On my old laptop I had a dongle and everyting was working really fine but now, it's really irritating to make it work every single time. My BT device id is like this: USB\VID_8087&PID_07DC.

We do not support DS3 Tool or the MotioninJoy driver in this thread. This thread is for an alternative way to get your DS3/DS4 working on your computer made by Scarlet.Crush called SCP. Check out my thread, it has a video on how to install SCP and get it working, even with a laptop integrated Bluetooth receiver:
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-VIDEO-TUT...CP-drivers

I would suggest you uninstall MotioninJoy (it's known for causing BSODs and it re-installs itself if you don't uninstall it in a specific way) by following the instructions on my thread and DEFINITELY get rid of DS3 Tool. If you really want to use the MotioninJoy driver, at least download Better DS3, which doesn't have a malicious backdoor in it. Here's some more info on why DS3 Tool is bad news: http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/why/

Hey guys. First of all, thanks Scarlet for making this great tool. Now to the point...

Is there any way to use the DS4 trackpad with the current SCP package (1.2.2.175)? I can get the DS4 to work flawlessly alongside my DS3, but the DS4 has no trackpad support.

Because of that I'm now using the J2K's DS4Windows tool, but I'd really like to keep using Scarlet's solution for 2 main reasons:

1) The way BT pairing works is much better, as it reserves the dongle only for that. Windows doesn't see any "Wireless Controller", so there's no need to rely on the conflicting "exclusive mode" for certain games.

2) I can use both the DS4 and the DS3 side by side. No need to sell my old controller because of software.

So, am I out of luck here? Scarlet's solution would be just perfect if I could use the trackpad like in other tools.

Exclusive mode can be a bit annoying (closing Steam often, etc.). An alternative would be to somehow use the same "reserved dongle" (can I call it that?) BT pairing from Scarlet's package with the DS4Windows tool, but I have no idea if that's possible. Still, I would be missing the possibility of using my old DS3 alongside the DS4.

Thanks guys for your time. I love the work Scarlet has done, I just wish trackpad support was an option.
Cool, from the first test it seems to be working fine, i'm just curious, is it possible to set the pad leds to show battery level like in motion joy?
I don't believe so, no. But it does show you the battery level in ScpMonitor.

I noticed still the way mj was doing it was a bit more informative.
Hi guys, first of all thanks Scarlet.Crush for this great app.
I was trying to remap some button on my DS3, i see Gta/Dsk/D3Mapper can use keyboard key and mouse movement.
Also i see different "profile" in the Profile Manager but i'm unable to create my own with keyboard/mouse action, only "DS3 button --> DS3 button".

Am i stupid or am i missing something?
I searched in this thread but in 350+ page i found only questions without answers Sad

I know Xpadder/JoyToKey exist but i'm trying to get rid of those.
Sorry for my English and thanks for help!

hey looks like many ppl are requesting this remap feature... so i started working on a project to implement full key remap and keyboard mouse button assign as well as assign axis to mouse movement...

i've got it partially working and will try to finish and upload this weekend when i will be free..

see attachment for a preview!! Laugh

I'd like to thank you for developing this, but I'm having some show-stopping issues! Really, issues that prevent the show from starting in the first place.

Controller: Official Sony-branded DualShock 4
Connection type: USB
Windows Version: Windows Server 2012 Standard (internal version number 6.2.9200) (effectively win8 on amd64 for most purposes)
Issue: BSOD/stop error with DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION on scpvbus.sys if the controller is connected while the service is running.
Severity: Critical (takes down entire machine with it)
Versions tested: (in order - unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to mark off the minidumps by version tested)
  • jhebbel's DS4Windows 1.5.8 (no zadig)
  • electrobrsins's DS4Windows 1.0 (no zadig)
  • Scarlet.Crush XInput wrapper 1.2.2.175 (zadigged DS4 controller)
Can reproduce?: Yes, every time
Steps to reproduce:
  1. Install drivers (in the case of using the SC wrapper/service directly configure service ticked, bluetooth driver unticked)
  2. Plug in DS4 controller via USB. It doesn't matter if it's connected before or after starting the service or machine.
Attempted solutions: (non-comprehensive, I've slept since then)
  • Searched the forums and elsewhere for similar issues, the closest I found was post #1376 in this very thread, but there are no responses to this person's issue either.
  • Disconnected all other controllers from the machine.
  • Tried different USB ports.
  • Tried hotplugging device instead of keeping device plugged in the whole time.
  • Tried several versions of software. (with the various DS4Windows versions)
  • Dropped into test mode. (just in case there was some funny business with possibly-unsigned drivers going on, even though the drivers are clearly signed.)

Tons of minidumps from the stop errors are attached to my post.

I'm not cross-posting this because it seems to be an issue with the virtual bus driver maintained here. This was pretty much what I was doing all last night and I'm more or less fresh out of ideas and I don't really have the time or energy to go deeper in and hack at the driver, unfortunately. Sad

e: Issue resolved. I totally forgot I had driver verifier on and it didn't click immediately. (despite the BSOD...) Regardless, it's probably a good idea to fix that bug, so I'm not editing out the report.
