XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller

It sounds like you installed SCP correctly but for some reason it's not wanting to wrap your DS3 controller. Did you have MiJ installed before? Better DS3 Tool or something?

Yes I did have MiJ installed but a lot of the tutorials online just never worked (the pnputil steps never worked cause 64-bit) so i needed to do a messy manual delete looking thru all my drivers and calls

there is a chance I still missed a bunch of crap tho

Did you uninstall the MiJ driver from device manager AND check the "delete the driver software for this device" box? If not, there's your problem.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, you probably missed something. Uninstall SCP and then follow Blyss Sarania's instructions found in my thread:

Once you've removed MiJ entirely, go ahead and re-install SCP. Fingers crossed!

If you are seeing your DS3 showing up in Device Manager, please right-click on it and go to 'Properties'. If it doesn't say Scarlet.Crush Productions, then that's probably either the MiJ driver or the stock DS3 driver. Either way, that needs to go. As stated you should only be seeing the 'PLAYSTATION(3) Controller' that lists Scarlet.Crush Productions as it's Driver Provider or 'USB DS3 device' under the Universal Serial Bus devices category in Device Manager.

P.S. You never clarified where you were seeing the DS3 and the Xbox 360 Controller. Is it under Device Manager or Devices and Printers? Unlike Device Manager, your DS3 should not be showing up in Devices and Printers at all.

Under Devices and Printers, DS3 shows up and i use devmngr to see where it came from and it shows me nothing

Yeah that looks perfect. I'm not really sure what's going on. Would you mind restarting SCPService?

Does anything change on SCPMonitor when you press the PS button on your DS3 while it's plugged in via USB? Also is your DS3 charging when plugged in? Again it might just be that the cable is the issue. Although I doubt it since we're still seeing the DS3 icon under Devices and Printers...that should definitely not be there. When you stopped SCPService, did the Xbox 360 go away from Device Manager and Devices and Printers? What about the DS3?

Would you mind PM'ing me? I would like to remote into your computer and see if I can get this working for you.
