XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
Hi. I have a rare model of Speedlink SL-4443-BK (http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=4315&pid=29685&paus=1). I followed all instructions, but without any results.
Is it possible to make it work as XInput gamepad? If yes, what could I made wrong?

Hello....

This is my issue when i followed the instructions.

1. No device will conenct in monitor

when i run service... it says Cannot start service from the command line or debugger... ect

Can anyone help with this ?
hello i found the instructions a little confusing but worked it out so ill simplify them a little.

1: download the latest version of xinput wrapper from the link provided on page 1.

2:download and install the xbox 360 controller drivers from the link provided.

3:make a new directory in C:\Program Files\Scarlet.Crush Productions (make sure it is in (x86) ! if your running a 64bit operating system

4: extract the downloaded xinput wrapper to C:\Program Files\Scarlet.Crush Productions (extract with winrar or 7zip or whatever)

5: open the folder C:\Program Files\Scarlet.Crush Productions

6: make sure the ps3 controller is plugged in, then open the bin folder, then run the scp driver application.

7: after the above is complete close it then in the same bin folder run the scp server.

8: do not close the scp server just minimise it as it needs to be running to use the ps3 controller.

9: thats it. runs watch dogs just fine i just made a few stickers with xbox 360 signs on and stuck them on my ps3 controller.

Did you remove the drivers using motion in joy and THEN delete them from device manager before uninstalling motioninjoy? If not that is almost certainly your issue. The same spot in the program that allows you to choose the device to install to allows you to remove the driver (and config files that will continue to screw with you indefinitely until removed via the program)

If you did first remove the drivers via motion in joy did you restart your computer and verify that it connects with the regular drivers? If not be sure to uninstall scp, restart your computer, make sure they connect as per usual (just registered in device manager, not functioning). Then reinstall.

If none of that works make sure you have all the dependencies installed (see the first post)

If none of the above helps or if you have already tried all of the above please reply with the install log and a screenshot of the device properties (found in device manager) for the controller and I'll see what I can do to help.

Relsig,

Thank you for your reply. As I recall, I do not believe I uninstalled the drivers through motioninjoy. I went and installed motioninjoy again and checked in the tab for drivers and they were not installed. At this point I also checked my device manager and they were not there either. I went and installed the drivers via. Motioninjoy and the drivers appeared on device manager but as soon as I uninstalled them through Motioninjoy as you suggested, the drivers disappeared from device manager. It seems to me either way of uninstalling the drivers work. I checked again for the dependencies and I do have everything installed. (Refer to attached pics if necessary) This forum will not allow me to upload the Scpdriver.log file so I will just copy and paste it here.

What is below is the latest driver installation I performed. There are other instances in the log. Please let me know if you would like to see those as well.

Thanks once again.

so i rolled back to old posts and it seems i had same problem as saekh. Game used dinput8 and xinput1.3 so i copied xinput to dead space2 folder and now it works like a charm.
How is that i have to paste the file to each game?
I did a quick check on Steam Big Picture, it doesnt recognize ds3 aswell. Funny thing is that when i go to settings and check for controller i see a message saying: There is a controller There is no controller in same sentence.
Inserting both win32 and win64 xinput doesnt help with Big Picture menu or games run through Steam.
Another issue is that i had to start batman directly from steam folder because when i played it through steam i couldnt use ds3.

Its not really a problem for me, sure takes time but im happy like a little kid as it is. On the other hand will be people asking for help in such situations so i thought i will point that out.

Thank you again and if i can be of any help.. in translating to polish perhaps? then im on board

Thank you very much for bringing the .. Joy back Smile

HAPPY UPDATE!!

I did some searching on this forum and tried a whole bunch of people's advices and when I came across this specific one from amfamaster, it worked! I just have to copy and paste the file to every game I want support for. Laugh
Everytime I run ScpDriver, the app instantly crashed. Help?

Make sure you have all the dependencies. That's about all I can suggest without a log or error report.

Thanks for checking that. I noticed the filepath shows D drive chrome downloads etc. Did you move the entire contents of the /bin folder to C:/Program Files/Scarlet.Crush Productions before installing? (Substitute C for the drive windows is installed on generally C: but it is configurable, maybe D: in your case)

It is best to place it in C:/program files/Scarlet.Crush Productions/ before installation(again C: should be whichever drive windows is installed on). If you need to move it be sure to uninstall first to be sure it does not cause conflicts. If it still doesn't work please post an updated install log.

Also the log mentions the driver will be installed the next time the device is inserted, have you tried removing and reinserting the device?
